SNOWBALL

"SNOWBALL" is the White type of "MAAS". As an onionset it is a very strong onion compared to other white types which are all relatively weak. Also the storing is much better. "SNOWBALL" sets can be easily delivered till March where other competitive white types can barely reach spring. Price technically "SNOWBALL" is not more expensive than the competition and therefore "SNOWBALL" is the only serious white variety. "SNOWBALL" can be used by both amateurs and professionals.

When "SNOWBALL" is coldstored there will develop bolting during growing as with all other white types. Starting January we can deliver "SNOWBALL" heat-treated which will keep bolters to a minimum.
The shape of the adult bulb is round to highround where other white types are not so nice (flat). The only negative point of "SNOWBALL" is the relatively short period of storingpossibility of the adult bulb.
