YELLOW ONIONSETS:
ALPHA:
A heat treated onionset which means bolting free! "ALPHA" can be delivered from half January.
The best looking early onion there is.
Highly round onion with a thin neck, so in contrary to other early varieties whom do have a thick neck, ready to be worked early.
Planting early is very important for maximum result. The more to the south the better the crop and date of harvesting.
Price technically "ALPHA" is more interesting than other early types.

SENSHYU YELLOW:
Overwinter onion which has to be planted in autumn between September 15th and October 15th.
If the climat is mild, it is best to plant as late as possible in October, to avoid bolting problems.
If the climat is severe, it is best to plant earlier.
Growing condition and results looks lot alike "Radar", but S. Yellow produces nicer round bulbs, where Radar produces long-shaped bulbs.
Also the price of S. Yellow is much lower then Radar.

SWIFT:
Overwinter onion which needs to be planted between September 15th and October 15th.
"SWIFT" is the earliest overwinterset which can mean high prices when there is lack of onions.
Negative is the fact that "SWIFT" gives a weaker bulb than "RADAR" which means that quality often is a problem.

STURON:
Flatround to round bulb.
Best known variety in professional market.
"STURON" has strong roots, strong leaves and stores well. "STURON" does well in whole Europe. In the south "STURON" lost a piece of market to "CENTURION" because "CENTURION" has better results here.

STUTTGARTER RIESEN:
Flat onion. Most known onionset in the world because it is relatively cheap and looks very nice as a set because it is round and other yellow types are all long-shaped.
In amateursector people continue buying "STUTTGARTER" because of price and shape of onionset.
However, when "STUTTGARTER" has finished growing the nice round bulb has become a very flat onion. This can lead to demand for other varieties. "STUTTGARTER" is the mother of the onionsets because a lot of other types are developed out of this variety.
A strong point of "STUTTGARTER" is the fact that for the breeding of salad-onions the leaves of "STUTTGARTER" are more suitable. The growing of salad-onions is a growing market because of multicultural influences.
Salad-onions are mainly used in eastern kitchen.

TAKII VARIETIES: REKSET AND T-803.
ALL HYBRIDS (F1):
REKSET:
The earliest variety in early onions! Earlier than all other varieties, with a thin neck and a nice round bulb and besides that also very productive and resistant to diseases and bolting, also because of heat-treatment during storage. Unfortunately in 2010 no seed available, so no deliverable in 2011, but we hope that we can deliver again from 2012!
