N.H. BLOEDRODE (RED COMRED):
Different names for same variety.
Early onionset, round-shape and grows flat to flatround!! The nicest round bulb for Autumn-delivery. Can also be used
as overwintered Red and then it is also very low prices compared to other types, but there is a higher risk of bolting problems.
CSARDAS:
Nice red onionset which grows flatround to round. Very suitable for amateurmarket because of its rounder shape and dark purple colour.
This variety is not suitable for the professional market, because “CSARDAS” gives too much bolting problems.
Instead of Csardas it is best to take Heat Treated Karmen for Professional Market.
KARMEN:
KarmenKarmen is a long-shaped red onionset which looks a lot like "Red Baron", but is much better priced!!! When you are looking for quality for a
good price "Karmen" is the variety you are looking for, cold stored as well as heat treated!! Also available as "Heat treated" and has conquered its
place in the professional Market, many farmers learned that “Karmen” performs at least as good as Red Baron, but that prices are much lower!! We
are prepared to supply some free bags to convince everybody that "Karmen" is a good and much cheaper alternative for heat treated onionsets, than other
expensive Red varieties!
